What is it?

A common STD that can affect both men and women. If untreated it can cause serious, permanent damage to a female’s reproductive system.

How is it spread?

Chlamydia is spread vaginally, anally, and orally by someone who has chlamydia. It is important for both partners to be treated.

What are the Symptoms?

Females:

  • An abnormal vaginal discharge
  • A burning sensation when urinating

Males:

  • A discharge from their penis
  • A burning sensation when urinating
  • Pain and swelling in one or both testicles (less common)
